Hooked Restaurant in Beaver Creek is a high-end Sushi and Seafood restaurant, bringing the freshest seafood to the Rockies. We are looking for a General Manager to oversee all staff and operations of the local business unit. General Manager responsibilities include training, managing people and establishing policies. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our people develop and be productive, while ensuring our profits are on the rise. Ultimately, you’ll help our company grow and thrive. Must be comfortable with computers and capable of learning software platforms such as 7shifts, Toast, R365. Must be comfortable using Word, Powerpoint, and Excel.
Responsibilities include:
-- Oversee day-to-day operations
-- Build on the policies and procedures that are already in place and hold staff accountable.
-- Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
-- Oversee recruitment and training of new employees
-- Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
-- Direct the employee assessment process
-- Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
-- Provide solutions to issues not just bring problem to owners
-- Setting FOH staff up for success. Holding pre-shift meeting, communicating 86'd items, hot topics for the day, dividing up server sections.
-- Managing the door (with the help of your host). Managing the flow of the restaurant and maximize seating.
-- Managing staff to ensure the cleanliness of the restaurant is maintained. A great attention to detail needs to be on the appearance of the restaurant.
-- Managing Customer Service. Ensure guest satisfaction and remedying any incidents that arise. Keep calm, cool, and collective in high stress customer interaction situations.
-- Prepare nightly paperwork and close out the day (on closing shifts)
-- Touch tables throughout service and create that guest connection.
-- Take on a leadership and responsibility level as if the restaurant was your own.
Requirements for the position include:
-- Must have Served in a full service dining establishment
-- 5 years of strong leadership.
-- Must be cool, calm, and collective in high stress situations.
-- Must understand proper steps of service and maintaining a high volume busy dining room.
-- Must have a positive attitude and a passion for good food and good service.
-- Must be comfortable with technology. Experience with 7shifts, Toast, R365 all appreciated but will to train if your willing to learn.
-- Need to understand every FOH position and be able to perform it so that any hole can be filled and can ensure each position is properly trained.
